Denon Japan recently announced the introduction of its new 10-channel power amplifier that delivers 10x 300W or 5x 500W in bridged mode into 4Ω. Each channel is based on a similar mono block construction for an high quality sound reproduction.

The amplifier is certified THX ULTRA2, all channels are manually assignable by the user and you can connect your speakers via XLR or RCA connectors. The POA-A1HD adopts a gold finish and a sleek brushed aluminium design with only a few buttons and 3 assignable VU-meters on the front. The price has been announced for $9,000 USD and it will be launched on October 2007.

Bowers & Wilkins introduces a new speakers range, the 600 series includes 2 bookshelf speakers and 1 center channel speaker available in multiple colors, Light Oak Vinyl, Black Ash Vinyl, Red Cherry Vinyl and Weng Vinyl. They will be ready to ship in July.

The 685 is a 2-way bass/midrange bookshelf speaker composed of a 1" Nautilus tube-loaded aluminium dome tweeter from the 800 series and a 6.5" Kevlar® brand fibre cone bass/midrange. The drivers are mounted in a compact bass reflex cabinet on an aluminium stand.

Pioneer has unveiled its 2 new A/V amplifiers, the VSA-1017AV and the VSA-AX1AH.
The 2 amplifiers are 7.1 channel with 1.3a HDMI port supporting Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Advanced MCACC and MP3. The facade offers an USB connector for connecting your DAP or else. These amplifiers are ready to read HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs and they come with an THX certification from Pioneer.
The VSA-1017AV delivers 7x100W (20Hz ~ 20kHz, 0.09%THD @ 8ohms) and the VSA-AX1AH delivers 7x110W and has an additional RS232C connector.

This 2 A/V amplifier will be out for July in Japan priced at $750.00 for the VSA-1017AV unit and $1,100.00 for the VSA-AX1AH.

Sharp has announced 2 new dock for your iPod, the DK-A1 and the DK-A10CD. The docks are a 2-way stereo system delivering 2x7W with an FM/AM built-in tuner and a remote control. The DK-A10CD system has an additional CD-player able to read your WMA and MP3 audio files. They are also available in black finish (DK-A1-B and DK-A10CD-B).

Both docks are set to hit the shelves on July 5th in Japan but no word on pricing yet.

The X-T1X MD/CD player has been available for over a year now, so it was time for Onkyo to make better its characteristics. How? Well through increasing audio quality with new speakers. Otherwise our little wonder is still compatible with an iPod via the DS-A1X dock. Technically the speakers have grown about x1.5 time from their original size, the airduct has been reworked to improve the frequency response to 60Hz~20kHz compared to the original 70Hz~20kHz from the old version and it still delivers 2x10W @ 6Ω, has a built-in FM/AM tuner and supports MD and CD.

The updated version of the Onkyo X-T1X stereo system will be available the 13th July in Japan for about $350.00 USD.

MSI Media Center PC family announces the MSI Media Live powered by an AMD64 dual-core processors and an Nvidia integrated graphics with HDMI port and compatible with DirectX?® 9.0. The case has a wide array of connections including a 12-in-1card reader supporting up to 12 formats that allows users to transfer their pictures, digital video, music or any type of data easily. It also comes with a CD/DVD drives for playing music, movies and games, as well as writing data and video to disc. The audio part has been built 8 channel High Definition Audio.

Klipsch is going to introduce this month, a Flat-Panel version of their Quintet speakers, best-selling Home Theater package of the company. The five-channel Quintet SL kit is composed of 3 slender LCR (left, center, right) speakers and 2 satellites for surrounds, they are all magnetically shielded and employ 2*3.5inch woofers (1 woofer for the satellites) and a 0.75inch aluminum dome tweeter. Each speaker offers easy wall mounting and includes a pedestal foot for free-standing use. There is not so much precision on the speakers specifications but as the press note says the characteristics would be the same that the Quintet III speakers.

Also the Sub-12, an optional 12inch subwoofer will be available with built-in amplifier that delivers 300W RMS. In addition a (24dB/octave) low-pass crossover is continuously adjustable from 40 to 120Hz and an "auto power" feature enables the subwoofer to turn itself on and off (standby) automatically, based on the presence or absence of an audio signal.

The Quintet SL bundle is priced at $950 and the Sub-12 comes for $499.
