Revo new BLIK Radio Station hybrid DAB & Wifi Digital Radio

The british manufacturer Revo comes with a new concept of digital radio with the claim of being the world's first product to offer consumers DAB/DAB+ digital radio, Wi-Fi internet radio and traditional FM radio in a single one-box solution. The BLIK RadioStation is also significant for being the first commercially available radio that provides plug-and-play reception of both existing DAB and new DAB+ broadcasts.

Steve Evans, VP of Sales and Marketing at Frontier Silicon said: "The combination of Wi-Fi radio, DAB, DAB+, FM and network music streaming capability will be a very powerful proposition for end users."

Priced at £149.95 BLIK RadioStation features full DAB and DAB+ digital radio reception, FM radio coverage with RDS, Wi-Fi internet radio (easy access to over 9,000 stations from around the world), full alarm clock functionality, a compact remote control and the ability to plug-in your iPod and use BLIK as a loudspeaker system for MP3 playback.

Saitek announced its new Cyborg 5.1 headset, a Surround Sound headset designed to enhance the realism of PC games and improve gaming performance.

The Cyborg 5.1 headset has an integrated USB sound card which delivers true 5.1 Surround Sound without the need to install a PC 5.1 card. Six sonic drivers on each side of the headset ensure true channel separation for crisp, directional sound. This precise audio tells the gamer where every shot comes from, giving them a significant performance advantage. Like the rest of the Cyborg range, it features unique styling with satin black finish and "distinctive Cyborg" logo which illuminates when 5.1 sound is selected. The headset comes with detachable noise-cancelling boom microphone which, as well as making the headset ideal for gaming and for VoIP communication.

For $79.95 the Cyborg 5.1 headset also includes a 3.5mm jack for use with MP3/CD/Handheld devices (in stereo).

The latest amplifier series from Pioneer includes 2 new models, the A-A6-J (2x 60W) and the A-A9-J (2x 70W). These high-end integrated stereo amplifiers are designed to deliver audio output that is as pure and precise to the original as possible.

Based on a dual mono symmetrical construction and powered by a pair of toroidal transformers which deliver stable current for powerful, clean sound reproduction, this series incorporates class-AB dual mono symmetrical amps (which operate in pure class-A mode in low power, eliminating switching and crossover distortion) rated at 60W or 70W under 4Ω, (20 – 20,000 Hz).

These amplifiers are equipped with gold plated terminals, including headphone output, and feature a Source Direct mode to avoid any sound signal interference. The A-A9-J has 2 additional USB inputs and includes the "Sound Retriever" technology.

By adopting Imon Touch LCD, the 7-inch LCD display allows users to view various information including hardware system information, headline news, calendar and weather forecast. The new NAD's C715 series combines all your favorite music sources into one very compact box. Including two models the C715 and the C715DAB which has an extra DAB tuner (Band III) with 99 presets, both models has a 2x 25W amplifier, an FM/AM tuner and a full function CD Player.

The stereos have connections for adding extra analog and digital devices, available both on the front panel for portable devices and the rear panel for permanently installed ancillaries. The front panel USB port allows you to transfer music files from your C715 to any storage device or digital music player with a USB port. LG BH200 HD-DVD / Blu-ray Combo Player now available

LG has finally announced that its new BH200 HD-DVD / Blu-ray combo player is now available for the price of $999.

In addition to playing both HD formats, the player also has the somewhat notable distinction of being the first player to support Blu-ray profile 1.1, although you'll still have to wait a while to take advantage of that particular feature. Otherwise, you'll get full 1080p support (including upscaling of DVDs), HDMI v1.3, component and composite video outputs, digital optical and analog audio outputs, and a LAN port, not to mention a USB port on the front for impromptu slide shows or music playback.

Asus recently announced the DAV Center A33 a new digital home system with 5.1-channel integrated amplifier and HDMI interface that delivers high definition multimedia right at home.

The A33 can read the latest HD audio formats including SACD Hybrid, DVD Audio, HDCD, and XRCD providing up to 24bit/192KHz sample rates to deliver superior sound performance. It also supports bluetooth and the 802.11n wireless standard which can easily transmit or download a 30-minute HD video in a minute. The class-D digital amplifier with an SNR of 100dB+ supports 4Ω and 8Ω speaker.

The black enclosure measures 430x330x80mm, incorporates a 250W PSU and has a color 2.4 TFT display on its front panel displays the clock and real-time system information such as movie or song titles. The Asus A33 comes with Windows Vista Home Premium and a IR remote control with a track ball design.
