Esoteric has introduced a new speaker line including two models, the MG-10 bookshelf speaker and the MG-20 floorstanding speaker. Designed by Esoteric in Japan and built and finished at Tannoy factory, this series is the world’s first all magnesium diaphragm two way loudspeaker system ever produced. The magnesium is an extremely lightweight metal, it improves the speaker sensitivity and provides extremely fast acoustic response. Hard-wired with Van den Hul’s best silver-plated wiring, the MG speakers have five terminals for bi-wire plus a ground connection. Also the cabinet is made of American cherry wood (25mm thick on front baffle). Prices are $5,500 for the MG-10 and $8,400 for the MG-20

| McIntosh MC2301 Mono Tube Amplifier |

The McInotsh MC2301 is a 300 watts mono-block tube amplifier using eight of the famous KT88 tubes along with a strong power supply design for a rock-stable power output into an 8, 4 or 2 ohm load. McIntosh claims to have reached a SNR 117dB with this fully balanced mono-block. There is no word on pricing at this time but the MC2301 should be released in June.

McIntosh will introduce next month their new MA6600, a 2x200W integrated amplifier which will replace the MA6900. It features eight inputs including one balanced (XLR), a two-line LCD screen and a socket for the TM2 AM/FM/HD tuner module, it will be the first device with the AP-1000 surround processor to accept the brand's first HD Radio tuner module. Price is expected to be more than $5,000.

To celebrate its 25-year anniversary, the danish manufacturer Dali introduces the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition of HELICON 400 MK2. Finished in a stunning high gloss real piano black, the cabinets are lacquered 7 times and polished after each coat for enhanced depth and sheen to rival the world’s finest pianos. The front of the speakers get a golden logo badge and a golden limited edition nameplate on the rear panel of each unique set of speakers. The Helicon 400 MK2 25th Anniversary Limited Edition features a patented hybrid tweeter module, combining a ribbon and a low-mass soft dome, and two high performance 6" mid/woofers. Internally, the crossover incorporates select audiophile grade components in common with DALI’s state of the art EUPHONIA Series. First unveiled at the CES '08 in Las Vegas, the Helicon 400 MK2 25th Anniversary will be available this month at €6,750 per pair.

| Onkyo Debuts TX-SR506 & TX-SR576 Entry-Level A/V Receivers |

Onkyo has introduced two entry-Level A/V receivers, the 80W per channel TX-SR576 and 75W per channel TX-SR506. These are the lowest priced receivers ever to include the company's Powered Zone 2 capability and front channel bi-amplification features, and are among the first receivers available anywhere to include Audyssey's new Dynamic EQ loudness correction technology. Each receiver includes three HDMI inputs v1.2a for the TX-SR576 while the TX-SR506 does only pass-through, Audyssey 2EQ automatic room correction, and also mark the company's first implementation of its new Music Optimizer software, which improves fidelity for MP3 and AAC encoded digital music sources. The Onkyo TX-SR506 and TX-SR576 will be available in April at $379 and $479 each, respectively.

| Canton intros Movie 80 CX & Movie 120 MX Home Theater Speakers |

Canton has added the Movie 80 CX (pictured) and Movie 120 MX in its "Movie" family of small home theater speaker packages. Each system comes in a high gloss black or silver finish with four small satellite speakers, a center channel speaker and an active subwoofer for surround sound reproduction. The Movie 80 CX speaker package has true two-way satellites (3.5-inches tall, 4-inches deep) with a 3-inch polypropylene woofer along with 1-inch aluminum tweeter coaxially mounted and a 100W powered subwoofer including a 6-inch long-throw cellulose/graphite driver. MSRP is $699. The Movie 120 MX is basically the same package except it has larger subwoofer with a low frequency response down to 33Hz and satellite speakers get an increased cabinet volume for improved linearity and output in the midrange and mid-bass frequency ranges. MSRP is $899.
