Pioneer has recently launched a new home theater system with a 5.1-channel receiver incorporating a DVD player. The HTZ-373DV features 1080p HDMI connectivity, Dolby Digital/Dolby Pro Logic II/DTS decoding, Pioneer’s MCACC Speaker Calibration system, and it has MP3 along with WMA files supports. The 5.1 surround system provides 60W per channel plus 30W for the central channel and 60W for the subwoofer. It's available in Japan for about $350.

Vita Audio announced on its website the launch in June of the R4, a complete music system which combines an iPod dock, DAB/FM tuner, slot-loading CD drive and USB ports with MP3/WMA audio support. The R4 also includes two auxiliary inputs for other music players, the trademarked RotoDial for easy iPod control, and an audiophile-grade stereo amplifier. The cabinet weight 8kg, measures 145x 450x 255mm and it will come in Rich Walnut veneer for Ј499.99 or Dream White high gloss lacquer finish for Ј549.99.

| Gear4 DUO - Versatile Stereo Speaker System For iPod |

Gear4 has recently announced its new DUO speaker system for iPod in the United Kingdom. The Gear4 DUO combines a bass unit and a detachable front panel with retractable iPod dock that can serve as a standalone portable speaker system powered by a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. The patented Seamless Sound Technology (SST) allows the satellite speaker to be effortlessly docked into the Bass Unit, where its battery will automatically recharge, making it permanently ready for portable use. The whole system provides 38W of total output, and includes a remote control and five iPod adapters. Gear4 will begin shipping its DUO iPod dock in June for Ј150.

Axiom Audio has introduced its Millennia Garage bookshelf speaker, which the company says is a cross hatch on-wall version of their M3 speaker. The Millennia features a 1-inch tweeter, 6.5-inch subwoofer and 2.2 Hz crossover rate. It measures 13.5x 8.5x 8.25-inches and weighs about 13 pounds. It will begin shipping this summer for $375. The Orbitsound T6 is a unique iPod docking system with dual triode valve amplifiers along with a single stereo speaker. The airSOUND technology encodes standard L/R stereo with spatial signal information, the direct signal is reproduced from the front firing driver and the spatial information from smaller side firing transducers. These signals combine in the air to produce uniform stereo sound everywhere in a room, so, unlike conventional stereo docks, speaker positioning is non critical. The T6 also has auxiliary inputs to enable connection of other sound sources including PC audio. It will be available in June.

It's hard to find any info about the new Panasonic SC-PTX50, but this basic 2.1-channel home theater system comes with a 140 Watts DVD receiver compatible with MP3/JPEG/MPEG4/DivX files. It features 1080p HDMI connectivity, USB host function, VIERA link and Dolby Virtual Speaker technology that provides 5.1-channel effect from the front speakers. This models seems to be available in Europe only, at a price of €450.

The Panasonic SC-BT100 was previously unveiled during the CES back in January, this Blu-ray disc home theater system is now available for pre-order at a price just below the $1,000 mark. The SC-BT100 is a 5.1ch system only, but additional wireless satellite speakers are available for separate purchase. With Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, DTS-HD, DTS-HD High Resolution and DTS-HD Master Audio the SC-BT100 is ready to handle all HD content. The Blu-ray disc receiver features P4HD (Pixel Precision Progressive Processing for HD) technology to upconvert 480i/p, 720p or 1080i format to 1080p, Deep Color support and 1080/24p playback. There is also a built-in universal dock to enjoy your music and video from your iPod and a SD card slot to play back AVCHD or JPEG image files.

The new Tivoli Audio NetWorks internet radio can find any Internet radio stations from any location in the world in its native language, and in real time. This radio can stream MP3, WMA, and Real Audio music files stored on USB devices via a USB port or from PCs through a wireless (WiFi) or Ethernet connection. The NetWorks radio also features a virtual analog clock, dual independent alarms with sleep timer and snooze function, compact remote control, full-range 3.5” magnetically shielded driver and easy-to-read four-line by 16 character back-lighted display. The retail price starts at $600 for the basic NetWorks while two other versions with additional FM or DAB tuner will cost slightly more.
