Altec Lansing Updates iM500 Speakers to fit iPod Nano

Altec lansing's iM500 gets an update to fit the new iPod Nano. This model is lightweight and super-thin by using flat full-range drivers, it measures just 1.2x 21.5x 1.8cm when folded and weighs 340g. The inMotion iM500 charges and syncs the iPod Nano, and there is an auxiliary input for connecting other devices such as a CD/MP3 players or other iPods. Also, it can be powered by either AC mains or six AAA batteries, providing up to 8 hours of continuous play.

Price raised to Ј80 for this new edition and it comes with a protective carrying pouch.

CES 2008 - Altec Lansing T612 Audio System for the iPhone and iPods

Altec Lansing debuts the T612, a digital audio system made for the iPhone and new iPod family of products. The T612 provides brilliant sound for music and multimedia, while also featuring iPhone incoming call support. If a call comes in while music is playing, the iPhone gives priority to the call by pausing the music.

Designed after the successful M602 digital audio player, the T612 features powerful neodymium speakers and XdB bass-enhancement technology for exceptionally audio reproduction. The T612 play and charge all iPhone and new-generation iPod models. In addition, the rear of the T612 provides a standard auxiliary-in jack for connection to older iPod models as well as other audio devices and it comes equipped with a wireless remote for iPod navigation functionalities.

Available in February 2008, the Altec Lansing T612 audio system will be sold for $199.95 (U.S. MSRP).

InMotion IM414 - First Altec Lansing Microsoft Zune DockThe IM414 isn't like other docks, this one is the first Altec Lansing Dock made for the Microsoft's Zune player and also compatible with the Zune 2.0.

The device features a stereo sound system with a pair of 3.2 Watts neodymium drivers, a built-in FM radio with station presets and a telescopic antenna, a remote control and an LCD display.
The internal battery will power the portable station up to 24 hours, thanks to the energy efficiency class-D amplifier.

There is no word on availability yet but the price has been set at $99.95.

Altec Lansing new iM600 iPod Docking Station

Altec lansing unveiled its new iM600 iPod docking station the iM600, a part of the "inMotion" line of products for iPod and it will be available from November 2007 at a price of $149.

Composed of an iPod dock with stereo speakers, an FM radio tuner with telescopic antenna and 4-channel presets along with a wireless remote, the thin iM600 sound system offers a great quality sound with the two neodymium full-range speakers for a maximum power of 2x8W.

The iM600 is fully compatible with iPod models that have the alarm clock and sleep timer features from the little iPod Nano to the latest iPod Touch.

The small LCD displays one line of text, that enough to show the current source (iPod, radio, or AUX), radio station, clock when plugged into an electrical outlet or battery level.

It also features video output, subwoofer output, auxiliary input, 3 iPod adapters and a rechargeable Li-ion battery rated at seven hours of continuous playback.

Altec Lansing's Orbit-MP3 speaker system for iPods and MP3 players is heading towards the market.

Simply designed and weighing only 8oz, the Orbit-MP3 offers Altec Lansing's Fusion360 technology, which produces a full 360-degree sound field. The speaker gets a 3.5mm stereo connector, a 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter cable and an iPod port.

The Altec Lansing Orbit-MP3 is shock resistant and features 24 hours of continuous play off 3 AAA batteries. With a release soon, these $39 speakers could serve as an adequate sounding ultra portable speaker.
