Kenwood Japan will start shipping on February 29th will sold only 50 units of these high-end stereo systems, the Kseries Silver Limited (Sound Meister Edition), which combines the R-K1 CD receiver with the LS-K1000-B speakers.

The receiver has a special 11mm thick aluminium faceplate for this special series along with a high-gloss black finish for the LS-K1000-B speakers. Other features include an output power up to 2x 45W into 4Ω, built-in AM/FM tuner, Wolfson WM8740 D/A converters, Supreme EX tone quality technology to enhance sound quality and the price of this high-end thing is about $2,000.

Arcam released a compact version of its famous Solo Music, the Solo Mini combines a CD player which plays back MP3 discs as well, AM/FM or FM/AM/DAB tuners (market dependant), an integrated iPod control via optional rLead/rDock peripheral and an alarm clock with "wake to" CD/tuner/alarm. connectivity includes six analog inputs (5x RCA rear, 1x 3.5mm jack front) and a front panel USB input that allows USB memory devices to be played (MP3 and WMA files supported). The unit boasts a 25W per channel stereo amplifier and includes a sophisticated circuitry with a torroid based power supply and it features the renowned D/A converters from the DiVA CD73 CD player.

The Arcam Solo Mini comes without speakers for £650.00.

JVC announced two new mini systems which incorporate a built-in iPod dock. JVC’s new mini system line-up includes the MX-KC38, a powerful 220W system, and the MX-KC68, a 400W system featuring a separate subwoofer. In addition to an iPod dock, both models include JVC’s Sound Turbo for wall-shaking low frequency performance, CD player and AM/FM tuner.

The systems’ iPod "Stage Dock" is a recessed compartment on the front panel with blue illumination from above. The included remote features dedicated iPod control keys that simulate the iPod control wheel layout and users are able to easily shuffle, repeat, scroll, and select songs from the iPod menu.

Both systems feature a new, aggressive design wrapped in black, they will be available in April priced respectively at $180.00 for the MX-KC38 and $200.00 for the MX-KC68.

Sony unveiled two compact stereo systems made for iPod, the CMT-BX20i and CMT-BX50BTi models. These new music systems offer a sleek and simple design with a glossy black finish and vivid fluorescent display.

The front-loading CD player supports CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 Playback, along with an audio-in jack to connect your digital music player or PC, in addition to the iPod dock on the top. Also the system has a AM/FM tuner with 30 station presets and a remote control.

The CMT-BX20i micro shelf system will be available in February for about $130 while the CMT-BX50BTi which is equipped with Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) technology so you can wirelessly stream CD-quality music to other Bluetooth stereo devices will be priced at $180.

The new Philips' Streamium WACS7500 hub and WAS7500 extender is a complete solution for who want a music streaming system. With stylish framing, the 80GB HDD stores up to 1,500 CDs, has an LCD screen that displays track information and USB connectivity and can connect to up to five wireless extenders through Ethernet or WiFi.

The WAS7500 stations allow users to broadcast the same track to each room simultaneously or move from room to room as the music follows, also it supports an optional iPod dock. The Streamium hub can manage up to five independent streams of content at once, sending a different stream to each extender and with the ethernet connection you can backup the system's hard disk, upgrade features or download existing tracks from a PC.

Both hub and extender will be available in April, at $999 for the WACS7500 and $299 for the extender.

The French company Carat presents the i57, an all-in-one Hifi component combines all the components of your audiophile system in a compact cabinet: a CD player, a AM/FM radio tuner and a stereo amplifier.

The unit benefits from the same design care as the separated elements of Carat 57 series with a black finish and a brushed aluminum touch. The new Thomson's CS607VD features in a small sized hifi a 5 CD or DVD changer that allows you to carry your music with you, anywhere. Simply insert up to five CDs and its "Rip, Play and Go" function automatically encodes the CD tracks and the PLL RDS radio program in mp3 format to the digital reader that you will have already connected through the USB port.

The CS607VD can read CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD as well as MP3, WMA and DivX files. This stereo delivers a powerful sound up to 2x 60W RMS to a pair a 2-way speakers, also the CS607VD features a blue LCD with ID3TAG function, a RDS digital PLL tuner with presets, a remote control and it comes for 179.00€

The new NAD's C715 series combines all your favorite music sources into one very compact box. Including two models the C715 and the C715DAB which has an extra DAB tuner (Band III) with 99 presets, both models has a 2x 25W amplifier, an FM/AM tuner and a full function CD Player.

The stereos have connections for adding extra analog and digital devices, available both on the front panel for portable devices and the rear panel for permanently installed ancillaries. The front panel USB port allows you to transfer music files from your C715 to any storage device or digital music player with a USB port. These USB devices can also serve as a source for play-back on the C715. Thus PCs, MP3 Players and USB Memory Drives can be easily interfaced to the C715.

The latest Kenwood's flat stereo series includes two models, the CLK-7i-S ($450 USD), CLK-5i-S and CLK-5i-W ($350 USD), the last letter stands for the color, S for silver and W for white finish. The main difference between the two models is that the CLK-5i-S/W is not equipped with an MD deck and does not display infos from CDs.

The stereo is 18cm thick and has AM/FM tuner, a subwoofer output and a pair of 10Watts removable slim speakers. The top-loading CD player is compatible with CD, CD-RW, MP3 and WMA but no support of DRM protected audio files. The CLK series also has USB connection and supports almost all iPod via an optional cable "PNC - iP120". Both units come with a remote control and will be out in Japan early this month.

The Scott's i-WXH 80 is a stereo system with a built-in docking station on its top, charging and playback almost all iPods (except iPod Shuffle).

The CD player has the capability to read CD-R/RW, MP3-CD, CD audio and WMA-CD. The front panel includes an USB flash drive and a storage card slot SD/MMC. The output power rated at 4x 15W RMS feeds a 2-way speakers system. The i-WXH 80 is also equipped with a PLL radio tuner with 30 preset memories and a remote control.
