NAD Electronics is getting ready to unveil for the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas its new products and audio accessories. One of these is the NAD IPD-1 iPod docking station, priced at around $150 but after all it's quite expensive for a simple ipod dock. However, the NAD IPD-1 is designed to work with all NAD A/V products, and it should work with non-NAD products as well. This dock performs four functions, it sends stereo audio signals via gold plated RCA jacks, it sends video signals via S-Video from your iPod video to your A/V receiver or TV, it charges your iPod battery and it features a "meta-data" function compatible with T 775, T 785 and T 175 NAD receivers which display on your video display, remote controllable operation using the NAD illuminated learning remote control.

Intempo launched the industry's first iPod docking station and speaker system, with built-in dual band DAB digital and FM radio. Compatible with the iPod family - excluding the iPod shuffle - and MP3 players the RDI will play, sync and charge them via the dock drawer. The RDI features in a glossy "piano" finish a nice looking station with a 30W output, including a 15W subwoofer for a powerful bass response and the two tweeters provide crystal-clear treble. Also it has a built-in dual band DAB digital and FM radio, a LCD, a clock with alarm function. All functionality, including the bass and treble, can be controlled either manually or with the 23-key remote control. The RDI retails at £129.99 (about $265) from Amazon, Comet and John Lewis.

The device measures 440x350x110mm, weighs about 9kg and includes an IR remote control compatible with the iPod navigation.

JBL announced the On Station III, successor of the On Station II, its popular donut-shaped docking station that was released back in 2006. The JBL On Station III (aka JBL On Stage 3 for US and European market) is compatible with almost all iPod including the latests Apple's iPod Touch and iPhone using the supplied universal dock adaptors. It can also be hooked up to different devices such as digital audio players, CD players, games consoles, computers... via the 3.5mm mini-jack cable include. The docking station features a 12 Watts digital stereo amplifier, an IR remote control and finally it can be powered by six AA batteries. The system will be available in early November in black or white for a retail price of $200.

 The IM414 isn't like other docks, this one is the first Altec Lansing Dock made for the Microsoft's Zune player and also compatible with the Zune 2.0. The device features a stereo sound system with a pair of 3.2 Watts neodymium drivers, a built-in FM radio with station presets and a telescopic antenna, a remote control and an LCD display. The internal battery will power the portable station up to 24 hours, thanks to the energy efficiency class-D amplifier. There is no word on availability yet but the price has been set at $99.95.

Altec lansing unveiled its new iM600 iPod docking station the iM600, a part of the "inMotion" line of products for iPod and it will be available from November 2007 at a price of $149. Composed of an iPod dock with stereo speakers, an FM radio tuner with telescopic antenna and 4-channel presets along with a wireless remote, the thin iM600 sound system offers a great quality sound with the two neodymium full-range speakers for a maximum power of 2x8W. The iM600 is fully compatible with iPod models that have the alarm clock and sleep timer features from the little iPod Nano to the latest iPod Touch. The small LCD displays one line of text, that enough to show the current source (iPod, radio, or AUX), radio station, clock when plugged into an electrical outlet or battery level. It also features video output, subwoofer output, auxiliary input, 3 iPod adapters and a rechargeable Li-ion battery rated at seven hours of continuous playback.
