Marantz released the HP101, a new pair of earphones with aluminum body to reduce vibration. According to Marantz, the use of aluminum eliminates unwanted vibration for clear sound reproduction. The earphones have 9.5mm drivers, and comes with 3 different sized earbuds, carrying case and a 1m extension cable for a price of $80.

Marantz will release soon its first blu-ray player, the BD8002. Unveiled at the last CES in Las Vegas, this high-end player will be priced at $1,999. Marantz equipped it with a 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta video processor, HDMI 1.3 connection as well as the latest in HD audio decoding including Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The player also offers a SD-card reader, analog audio outputs and it even plays your old DVDs with upconversion feature or CDs.

The Marantz's Cinemarium ES7001 sound bar that offers a "one-box-for-all" design approach to surround sound is now available for sale in the UK at a price of £800. This includes six speaker drivers arranged in a tweeter, midrange and woofer configuration to deliver surround sound, each one powered by a digital class-D amplifier. There are also 32-bit/96kHz digital processors with Dolby Digital and DTS decoding to generate surround sound, two HDMI v1.1 inputs and on output, three optical digital audio inputs and two stereo audio inputs.

The new $2399.99 Marantz MM8003 eight channel power amplifier is the perfect complement to AV8003 pre-amplifier/processor. This amplifier is equipped both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA input jacks as well as gold-plated speaker connectors, and with 140W per channel, it can easily drive a complete 7.1-channel speaker system. Remote control input and output jacks allow external component control along with output channel relay on/off and slow start to power-on mode.

It has been unveiled at CES, but now the forthcoming AV8003 A/V receiver appeared on Marantz's official website with a $2599.99 price tag. Equipped with all of the latest technology, the receiver features 7.1-channel Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio decoding and THX Ultra2 certification. It includes HDMI v1.3a inputs, built-in video processor with de-interlacing and 1080p up-conversion, Deep Color support, xvYCC extended video formats, and there is also audio/video multi-room capability up to three zones.

Marantz released the SA-11S2 Reference Series, 2nd generation of SA-CD player updated with many of the components and features of the SA-7S1, this new disc spinner retails for $3499.99 instead of $1999.99 for the old player, but I think the price is a bit overpriced for a SACD player...

The Marantz SA-11S2 is equipped with a SACDM-1 mechanism module which supports SACDs, audio CDs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs playback. The circuitry was engineered to reduce the signal path in the purpose of removing all interferences and to keep the sound as neutral as possible by using high-quality components. The cabinet is made up from extruded aluminium (10mm thick) for vibration-free build without any visible screws, the front panel includes a slightly blue illuminated front and noiseless LCD display.

Marantz introduced a new preamplifier in the Reference Series, the SC-11S1 which comes this November on US market for $3199.99.

Based on the PM-11S1 and the SC-7S2 pre-amp section, the SC-11S1 features a fully balanced construction with a new linear control volume using a Wolfson WM8816 IC, a balanced input type headphone amplifier, 3 brand new ultra high speed HDAM-SA3 buffer modules and a reworked power supply design with a choke input system resulting in a THD of 0.002%.

It also offers mono, stereo or multi channel configuration with the Marantz F.C.B.S (Floating Control Bus System) for connecting several SC-11S1 preamplifier.
