The ZvBox from ZeeVee will be the first device that allows you to watch anything you can get online or on your computer from all your HDTVs. Simply connect the monitor output of your computer to ZvBox, then connect ZvBox to your home’s cable TV wiring. ZvBox takes the high resolution output of your computer, including Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, and creates a new HD channel that you can tune in alongside your other TV channels from any HDTV in the home.

ZvRemote, combined with a ZvReceiver that is attached to your computer, provides full control of your computer from anywhere in the house, including multimedia and cursor control. The optional ZvKeyboard, available August 2008, makes it even easier to compose email, surf the web, and type text for desktop applications.

Naim will launch this summer the HDX which combines the performance of a Naim audiophile CD player with the convenience of a good MP3 player. The HDX is a stand-alone Hard Disk player/CD player. It can be connected to any wired network, to play or stream digital music (WAV/MP3/AAC/FLAC/WMA) from shared drives on the network, and it can grab data and cover art from Internet.

Also the HDX has the ability to rip CDS at full WAV format 16-Bit 44.1kHz. The data is copied to one of the internal 400GB drives and every night that drive backs up automatically to the second internal 400GB drive.

The Denon S-52 wireless network music system delivers music from your computer throughout the home. WiFi certified, the S-52 offers the ability to stream MP3/WMA/AAC/WAV/FLAC music either via Ethernet, or wirelessly, from internet radio sources and other network attached storage devices such as PC or Mac computers on the network.

This $30,000 (no it's not a mistake ) preamp/processor incorporates a LCD screen on its front panel to provide easy and fast configuration. D-Link, the networking solutions provider for consumer and business, began shipping a new kind of media player, D-Link PC-on-TV, which enables users to bring their content stored on computer hard drives to their television. PC-on-TV (DPG-1200) is ideally suited for streaming video, photos and music Wirelessly (Wifi 802.11g) from computer to TV. It supports photo viewing at 1024x768 screen resolution and streaming video at 640x480 resolution at up to 30 frames per second through composite, component or VGA video output.

This media streamer is now available from D-Link's distributors for $240.

NuVo will begin to ship in June 2008 its new M3 music server (NV-M3-500) with a storage capacity expanded to 500GB. The Essentio CS5110 from Asus is the world’s smallest Desktop PC equipped with a fully embedded discrete graphic card. This Mini PC measures 200x 290x 80mm, weighs 3.4kg and it seems to be a pretty interesting computer for home theater setup because of its gorgeous specifications. It features a laptop-sized MXM MN8600M GT 256M graphic card with 1080p HDMI output to play HD movies easily and smoothly, an Intel processor, 7.1-ch sound card output, Wifi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0 connections, slim slot-in Blu-ray SuperMulti or DVD SuperMulti player, up to 4GB of RAM and up to 1TB HDD. However pricing and availability are missing from the press release.

T+A is launching the MP 1250, a high-quality audiophile D/A converter combined with a streaming client which provides the connection to all network sources (W-LAN, LAN, UPnP), iPOD and USB sources. Like the Music Player, the MP 1250 R can stream MP3, WMA, LPCM, WAV, FLAC, AAC and OGG-Vorbis music files from internet radio, network music servers (NAS), USB media storage devices and iPod. The D/A converter employs Burr-Brown chips with 0.001% THD and 109dB SNR.

Also the MP 1250 R can get an optional supplementary retro-fit circuit board containing an FM tuner and digital tuner will also become available as soon as the future formats are settled.
