Released in 1972, the Sondek LP12 turntable has became the flagship turntable from the compangy. A few days ago Linn has announced a more affordable revision of its model with a new power supply circuitry, Pro-Ject 9cc budget tonearm, and Linn's Adikt phono cartridge. It will be available on March 25th in Japan for a price of $3,750 in five different colors.

Sony today unveiled its new PS-LX300USB turntable with USB output. Due in March for a price of $150 this turntable provides fully automatic operation of vinyl playback at 33-1/3 and 45 rpm speeds. It offers a belt drive system for reduced motor noise and rotational stability, in addition to a static balance tone arm with a bonded diamond stylus for precise tracking. A supplied moving-magnet phonograph cartridge and built-in phonograph pre-amp allows for compatibility with A/V receivers without a phonograph input. The turntable comes packaged with Sound Forge Audio Studio software for simple professional-quality audio editing and production on a home computer, allowing for MP3 playback on portable music players.

| Tangent Cinque DAB/AM/FM Radio with CD Player |

Danish manufacturer Tangent has added a fifth model of radio tuner in its range. The Cinque is the first Tangent's radio to offer both DAB radio and CD player. The CD player plays audio CDs as well as MP3 and WMA file formats. Compatible DAB and FM/AM version, the built-in radio tuner has 12 memory presets and auto tune function. Other features include an alarm clock with snooze function, a remote control and a 3.5mm input jack for connecting an iPod or other MP3 players. Made up of wood, the cabinet comes in four different colors: Walnut, White Gloss, Black Gloss and Red Gloss. The Tangent Cinque will arrive this month in two different models, a non-DAB model will cost £239.99 while the DAB model will be £189.99.

Sony announced its two latest HD Radio products. They include the XDR-F1HD tuner and the XDR-S10HDiP (pictured) HD radio model with iPod compatibility. The XDR-F1HD tuner transforms an existing audio system with an auxiliary input into an HD Radio receiver. The high fidelity HD Radio technology provides clear digital radio reception and FM multicasting. On its LCD display, the XDR-F1HD displays music information, including artist names and song titles plus radio station names and genres, where available, the unit also includes a wireless remote and will be available in March for about $100. The XDR-S10HDiP adds an additional iPod dock designed to work with most iPod models, the included wireless remote features full access to the iPod player menu, as well as to radio tuning and volume functions. The unit also charges the iPod while it's docked and provides clock radio functionality. Sony's XDR-S10HDiP model will be available this summer for $180.

Cue Acoustics is a brand new US company launched to design and manufacture exceedingly high performance table-top audio devices incorporating beautiful industrial design and profound simplicity of operation. Their first product to be introduced in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the TR 100 a bi-amplified 100W RMS two-piece AM/FM/iPod docking table radio. There aren’t any other details on this iPod Dock yet but others Cue acoustics' Multimedia and A/V Systems are expected to come later this year.
