Porsche doesn't only design luxury cars, they also design electronic products such as mobile phones, GPS and iPod docks.

Here is the Eton P9120 which was designed by Porsche, this table top system comes with a separate iPod dock and a stylish remote control. The unit is made of extruded aluminum and includes three 1.5" full-range drivers along with a 15W 3" active subwoofer. The P9120 has a OLED alphanumeric display with clock function, AM/FM tuner and DAB tuner for British market. It's priced at $600.

Audio-Technica has introduced the ATH-FW3 Headphones for women. The lightweight (60g), compact design of these headphones make them easy to carry and store. They are foldable and come with a carrying pouch. The ATH-FW3 was announced to be released in Japan on July 25th for a price of $35 only.

The new Yamaha YSP-3050 digital sound projector offers great new features compared to the YSP-3000 such as 1080p-compatible HDMI, full iPod compatibility via the optional YDS-11 dock and some front panel mini jacks. Otherwise the YSP-3050 is similar to the YSP-3000 with an array of 21 beam drivers, 2 woofers, and 23 matching digital amplifiers. It also offers full support for surround sound standards, including Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS Neo:6, as well as CINEMA DSP technology, to create realistic soundscapes in any room.

The YSP-3050 is currently available for a suggested retail price of $1,399.95.

There is no information yet about the new Vincent CD-S8 player, but a picture. I assume this "Symmetrically constructed HDCD player" is a refreshed model of the CD-S6 hybrid HDCD player which could handle both CD & HDCD. The picture shows "Tube Compact Disc Player" printed on the front panel, so like the CD-S6, the CD-S8 could have a true class-A output stage with valve amplification.

There is also a radio tuner in the PremiumLINE series, the STU-8 tube AM/FM radio tuner with RDS.

The S-1 is a desktop speaker designed to coordinate with the NuForce Icon amplifier. Specifically, a standard RJ-45 Cat 5 cable signals the Icon's equalizer to optimize the S-1's response characteristics. The tight integration with Icon and unique design enable S-1 to achieve sonic performance equivalent to speakers costing several times its price.

The S-1's full-range, Nuforce-engineered driver utilizes a lightweight yet rigid titanium cone, a die-cast basket with a vented voice coil, and a neodymium motor structure, all of which contribute to the speaker's excellent linearity and power-handling capabilities.

A waveguide feature similar to that of NuForce's top-of-the-line S-9 loudspeaker accounts for the S-1's exemplary midrange gain, dispersion pattern and eradication of diffraction artifacts.

The S-1 speakers are expected to be released at the end of the month for $249/pair in black/black, black/red, black/silver or silver/blue color.

The Denon RCD-CX1 is the combination of the PMA-CX3 amplifier and the DCD-CXA Super Audio CD player into a single box. The RCD-CX1 supports CDs, SACDs and MP3/WMA encoded discs, has separate digital and analog transformers, for stable power supply and improved music playback performance, 2x 75W amplifier, built-in AM/FM tuner and optical digital output.

The compact unit measures 300x 300x 110mm, and it will be on sale in Japan in mid-July for about $1,700.

Onkyo is introducing the GXW-2.1HD 2.1-channel home theater system, expandable to a full 5.1-channels with the addition of center and rear speakers. The system consists of a receiver with 5.1-channel support outputing 30 W per channel and 60 W from the subwoofer, and a couple of side speakers. The GXM-2.1HD decodes Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio lossless formats as well as DTS Surround Sensation to provide surround sound effects from the front channels. There is also HDMI 1.3 connectivity with DeepColor and x.v.Color support.

The GXW-2.1HD will be released in Japan on June 21th for $500.

Marantz released the HP101, a new pair of earphones with aluminum body to reduce vibration. According to Marantz, the use of aluminum eliminates unwanted vibration for clear sound reproduction. The earphones have 9.5mm drivers, and comes with 3 different sized earbuds, carrying case and a 1m extension cable for a price of $80.

Especially for the UK market, Yamaha has released the TX-761DAB DAB tuner. In addition to AM/FM bands, the tuner handles both band III and L-band with highly sensitive reception capability and superior tuning performance. This tuner lets you preset a large number of stations: 99 DAB stations and a total of 30 AM and FM stations. The TX-761DAB includes optical and coaxial digital audio outputs, and a remote control as well.

The Yamaha DAB tuner is now available from British stores at £249.

The new Yahama's CD-S1000 SACD player and A-S1000 stereo amplifier inherit the sound quality and design of the 2000 series. Both new models are cheaper, £799 for the CD-S1000 and £899 for the A-S1000.

The Super Audio CD player is equipped like the CD-S2000 model, but without balanced output circuitry. It has differential D/A converters for high conversion precision with low noise, silent loader and high precision CD drive, four-part power supply with independent structure and separate analogue/digital sections. The CD-S1000 boasts an impressive 113dB signal-to-noise ratio and a harmonic distortion as low as 0.002%.

First introduced in the A-S2000, the floating balanced power amp section with a high quality preamp section is also used in the A-S1000. And, to ensure maximum sound quality even when the tone controls are used, Yamaha employs triple parallel electronic volume and tone controls. The A-S2000 amplifier provides a maximum output power of 2x 160W @ 4Ω with a THD of 0.7%.
