Finally, the Classia series speakers from Infinity are going to reach the stores in the next days. This series, composed of four models with curved and contoured design elements, and incorporate advanced technologies including patented "Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm" (CMMD) drivers, includes the C205 bookshelf loudspeaker, C336 floorstanding speaker, CC225 wall-mountable center channel speaker and C255ES wall-mountable surround loudspeaker.

Infinity Classia loudspeakers offer a wide choice of placements options, including on a wall, floor or shelf. The loudspeakers are available in high-gloss black and cherry-wood veneer finishes, both accented by silver and black trim, and include black grilles. Prices range from $349 to $899 each.

Miller & Kreisel is making its M series 5.1 speaker systems, originally developed for professionals, available for home entertainment use. The range is composed of two models, the M5 and M7 systems, each includes two front speakers, two surround speakers, a center channel speaker and an active subwoofer.

Both M systems use 1-inch soft-dome ferroluid neodymium tweeters, 4-inch coated pulp bass/mid drivers and employ MK SOUND’s exclusive phase focused crossovers. The surround speakers feature a patented tripolar design to provide a consistent surround soundield with seamless transitions between front and rear speakers. The M SB-8 is a 150W RMS subwoofer with a 8-inch long-throw driver housed in a sealed enclosure while the M SB-12 incorporates a 12-inch woofer and delivers 250W.

Available in black or white satin finish with metal mesh grille, the M series price start at £1495.

Today, Denon Japan announced two new speaker series for home theater enthusiasts, the 55SG and 33SG, due to release in early March. Both series comprise a bookshelf speaker (SC-A33SG/SC-A55SG), a floorstanding speaker (SC-T33SG/SC-T55SG), a center channel (SC-C33SG/SC-C55SG) and a powered subwoofer (DSW-33SG/DSW-55SG).

These new speakers made in natural wood features the Denon's P.P.D.D (Push-Pull Dual Driver) technology from the CX3-Series of hi-fi system, utilising carbon fiber mediums and soft dome tweeters. The subwoofer delivers 80W or 100W of peak power for the DSW-55SG and has built-in adjustable low-pass crossover and phase switch.

Leon Speaker's Horizon 414 series is the first available three-channel LCR, two-channel or center-channel only, combination speaker built to exactly match the size of your Plasma TV, LCD or DLP screen from 32" to 65". Each Horizon speaker features, inside an ultra-thin, space-saving cabinet (4-inch deep) made up of strong MDF, world-class 4-inch woofers and 1-inch cloth dome tweeters, creating a truly high-fidelity speaker with excellent sonic clarity.

The product range comprises the following products: HZ414-LCR, HZ414-LR, HZ414-Center and a pair of surround sound speakers, HZ114-S. Prices start from $1,500 and each model is also available with 1-inch morel tweeters (suffix -A).

Finally, Focal-JMLab released a "more" affordable product line than the Electra Be series that appeared in 2005. The Electra S series includes the Electra 1007 S (1150€), a 2-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker, the Electra 1027 S (2100€), a 3-way bass-reflex floor standing speaker, the Electra CC 1000 S (1500€), a 3-way bass-reflex shielded center speaker, the Electra SR 1000 S (2400€), a 2-way sealed bipole/twin mono effects speaker and the Electra SW 1000 S (2000€), an active bass-reflex subwoofer. Focal has reduced the price of its speakers by replacing the Beryllium tweeter with an Al/Mg inverted dome tweeter and by a slightly less developed cabinet and finish. All speakers have a nominal impedance of 8ohm.

The Pioneer's flagship model from the "EX Series" is going to be available this month in a new Cherry Wood color finish in Japan. The Pioneer S-3EX model was introduced in June 2007 is the top-level performance column loudspeaker made from the company, the Cherry Wood color finish model, called S-3EX-T has exactly the same specifications, like the S-3EX these speakers was designed in France, with engineering contributions from Japan and the USA.

The Pioneer S-3EX-T employs a pair of 16cm cone woofers, a 14cm magnesium cone medium along with a 3cm ceramic graphite tweeter for a power handling up to 160W into 6-ohm. Sensitivity is about 88.5 dB and frequency response is 30 - 100.000 Hz

Victor (JVC) announced the launch of a compact cube-shaped stereo speaker "SP-A440" in Japan market. The SP-A440 comes in four different colors including black, silver, white and red. The compact unit which measures 61.5x 61.5x 65mm and weighs only 163g includes two drivers in each cube. These speakers delivers 2x 1.75W and incorporate two playing modes, music or home theater, the last one provides a surround sound by using time delay. The JVC SP-A440 connects to any audio source via a 3.5mm stereo jack input.

Polk Audio released its VM series of loudspeakers, originally introduced at the 2007 CEDIA Expo. This series consists of one floorstanding model and two wall/stand/shelf-mounted models, VM Series models feature Narrow Baffle Geometry in satin-finished, extruded aircraft aluminum cabinets. All three VM Series models are magnetically shielded and feature Polk's proprietary "Dynamic Balance" mineral-filled polypropylene drivers and 1-inch ferro-fluid–cooled anodized aluminum tweeters.

The floor-standing VM30 (MSRP $1,149.95 each) features two separate acoustic chambers. The upper chamber contains two 4" midrange drivers and a 1" aluminum dome tweeter. The lower chamber has four 4" bass drivers and four critically tuned 4" planar bass radiators.

At half the height of the VM30, the VM20 (MSRP $529.95 each) is an ideal on-wall companion to flat-panel displays. By pairing a 1" aluminum dome tweeter with two 4" mid-woofers and two 4" planar radiators, the small loudspeaker delivers startlingly powerful full-range sound. Wall/shelf mounts are included, and floor stands or table cradles with tempered glass bases are available.

The VM10 (MSRP $329.95 each) can be used as L/C/R or surround speakers, making it an ideal complement to the VM30 and VM20. It incorporates two 3" mid-woofers and a 1" aluminum dome tweeter. Wall/shelf mounts are included and a handsome stand with tempered glass base is available for table or shelf mounting.

The new Tannoy Arena Lite is a 5.1-channel speaker system for the home theater enthusiasts, it combines the gorgeous styling of the "Dual Concentric" equipped satellites and center channel from the award winning Arena home theater system with the performance of the 300W TS10 subwoofer.

Each tweeter incorporates a titanium dome and neodymium magnet assembly coupled to a rear acoustic cavity and features the "WideBand" technology to deliver low colouration and remarkably detailed sound. The Tannoy SFX 5.1 released a few days ago is a sleek and stylish 5.1-ch. home theater speaker package available in black or silver high gloss finish for £279.90. The system comes with four single driver satellites and one twin driver center channel supplied with wall brackets and speaker cable.

According to Tannoy the "WideBand" technology has been incorporated into the satellites and center channel speakers to extend high frequency response up to 78KHz (I highly doubt this as we aren't supposed to hear anything above 20KHz), however this technology has been incorporated to improve sonic detail, imaging precision and overall system integration. The powered subwoofer delivers 100W and features a long throw 200mm driver to deliver punchy bass. Also it offers line and speaker level input and an automatic power on/off function.

All speakers have a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, a maximum sensitivity of 85dB, a frequency response of 140Hz - 78kHz (-6dB) and are magnetically shielded.
